Leaving Crooked Lake – The Show

by Bill

Our last day on Crooked Lake was a great one.  We had beautiful weather and a nice little current helping us along our way.  We were lucky enough to watch some mergansers take off and a couple loons doing what they do best… Fishing…

As far as fishing goes…. Jim was able to pull in a nice sized northern pike.  He not only shows off his stellar fishing abilities but also takes the time to give us a step by step on how to remove the “Y” bones out of the the northern and cook up a tasty meal.

We had a great time paddling through crooked lake.  If you get the chance we really recommend taking the time to get out there.  As Jim said there are some pretty big fish swimming around in there.  If your into fishing for fun or for dinner its a great place to drop a line in the water.

Hi Bill……great production! I always wanted to learn how to prepare those Northern Pike and now I know! You sure are lucky to have such great weather on your excursions. Looking forward to seeing the clips from this coming weeks journeys. Happy trails!
